A man from Jalore, Rajasthan, was arrested and booked for raping and chaining his owner inside their house.
According to the police, the girl, whose age and the name was not released to the public, managed to escape the house and got help from her maternal uncle’s house.
Disgusted with what happened, the uncle informed the police about the horrible act.
Kailash Bishnoi, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (Women Atrocities) in Jalore, released a statement about the incident.
The statement said, “The victim has accused her father, who is aged between 50-55 years, of rape. In her statement, the girl has said that her mother had left the father, and he is in an illicit relationship with one of her aunts.”
The statement added, “The victim said that she had come to know of this fact, following which he chained her and raped her.”
Officer Bishnoi said the victim managed to escape from her house and went to the family of her maternal uncle to ask for help.
The girl told her uncle’s family and uncle about the incident that happened.
The family then went to report the incident to the police.
The police have lodged a case against the father.
The FIR booked the father under Indian Penal Code Sections 342 and 323 and relevant sections of the POCSO Act.
Himmat Abhilash Tak, the SP of Jalore, said a medical test of the victim has been done and the medical board is going to try to determine her real age.
The SP added, “We are investigating the matter and a search is on to arrest the accused.”
Some reports claim that the girl is 17-years-old.
In the complaint that was made by the girl, she said her father tied her hands and legs with heavy chains and raped her for several days.
The girl’s mother left the family after being fed up with the daily violence the husband was creating.
The mother of the girl has been remarried but the daughter stayed with her father.
