The Himalayas Are Now Visible From India As Nature Heals During Coronavirus Lockdown

Residents of the Punjab state of India are having one of the best views out of their houses amidst the coronavirus lockdown in the country.

Before the coronavirus lockdown, poor air quality caused fog and dusty skies in India, however, since the lockdown, the air quality in India has drastically improved and people are noticing huge differences.

Residents of the Jalandhar city of Punjab are being able to see the Himalayas straight out of their houses.

Several pictures of the mountains that were captured in Jalandhar, a northern city of India, have gone viral.

Social media users are calling this the “healing of nature”.

Residents of Jalandhar said this was the first time in decades that they got a good view of the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas.

The mountains are around 200 kilometers away from Jalandhar.

Thanks to the huge drop in air pollution, residents of Jalandhar and Phagwara, a neighboring city, got to enjoy the full view of the mountain range.

On April 3, 2020, Harbhajan Singh, a former cricket player, said, “Never seen the Dhauladar range from my home rooftop in Jalandhar. Never could imagine that’s possible.”

On March 22, 2020, the entire country of India went into lockdown.
