A plethora of online news portals went on twisting the total box office collections of Aamir Khan’s starrer ‘Dangal’. People believed such news, as the movie has already built the enough fame and hype. With a firm story and an appreciable social message, one can bluntly believe that the movie has collected gross Rs 2000 crores, worldwide.
Meanwhile, in India, it was assumed that the total collections were around Rs 800 crores, and the story has turned around soon after its release in China, Dangal bagged a massive amount summing up near Rs 11oo crores alone there.
It was also pretty well on news that even the Chinese President Xi Jinping today told Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he watched Aamir Khan– starrer sports drama Bollywood film Dangal and liked the movie and its actors. Dangal, which was released in China on May 5, has broken several records in the Chinese movie industry.
Later to that, Dangal has emerged as the World’s 30th highest grossing movie of 2017. It is already known that this movie is now the highest grossing foreign movie in China and only the 33rd place in China to cross a whopping collection of one billion yuan.
With this kind of hype all around, just a month back, the popular film analyst Ramesh Bala has tweeted on his official profile that the movie has bagged a total of Rs 1930 crores. Following this statement, all the news websites went forward claiming that the movie has hit Rs 2000 crores as of now.
Amidst all these news, Dangal’s producers now surprised everyone, revealing the details of the actual collections. The spokesperson of the movie said:
“We have been reading a lot of reports saying that Dangal has crossed 2000 Crores worldwide. Just to set the record straight, we want to clarify that Dangal’s official worldwide gross collection figure as of Thursday is 1864 crores.”
He then added: “We are very happy that our film has been so successful, and what is of most value for Aamir Khan and the entire team of Dangal is the immense love the film has got from the audience across the globe. We are looking forward to the film to release in other untapped territories to reach more audience.”
