With the time passing, Dangal now emerged as the World’s 30th highest grossing movie of 2017. It is already known that this movie is now the highest grossing foreign movie in China and only the 33rd place in China to cross a whopping collection of one billion yuan (USD 147 million).

Dangal achieved this feat of standing up at 30th place by surpassing Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway’s ‘Through The Looking Glass’ collecting $301 million.

The news came out after Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, “#Dangal with $301 M replaces #AliceThroughTheLookingGlass ‘s $299.5 M to become 2016 ‘s No. 30th movie and enters Top 30 2016 WW BO Club!”

Bala in his further tweets stated that the other details, “Dangal become the 1st Indian movie to do US$300 M at the WW BO.. #China – $179.41 M, #Taiwan – $6 M, RoW – $115.62 M, Total – $301.03 M.”

With the film still plowing on at the box office, it will probably create the Rs 2000-crore club too, another first for an Indian film, as it continues to play in over 7,000 screens across China. The film has already earned over 1930 crore in total as of now.

Meanwhile, coming to the in hand collections to Aamir Khan, the details will end up shocking you, as per China’s rules, only 25 percent of the total revenue goes to the movie producers’ hands, all the remaining amount goes to the Chinese government, which is a lot less than the USS which gives 50 percent and 40 percent in most other countries. This means the studio UTV Disney will earn around Rs 275 crore, out of which Aamir will get a percentage.

Until now, only four Indian films are allowed to screen in China; Baahubali 2 will also release in the country soon and let us wait for the innumerable records Baahubali 2 is going to achieve there.
