Mahira Khan, a Pakistani actress, has confirmed that she has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The announcement was made in a post that she made on Instagram earlier this day. In the same post, the actress said that she was isolating herself to avoid spreading the virus.

Khan, who is 35, said that she has asked people that made contact with her to get themselves tested as a precautionary measure.

In the post, she said:

I have tested positive for Covid-19. I am isolating and have also informed all those who were in close contact with me over the last few days. It’s been rough but it will be ok soon, Inshallah. Please, please wear a mask and follow other SOPs – for your sake and others. Prayers and movie recommendations are more than welcome.

A number of actors and social media influencers shared their wishes in the comments section of Mahira’s latest post.

Mahira is a Pakistani actress that works in both Pakistani and Bollywood industry. She had a movie with SRK, Raees, which was released in 2017.
