Amazon India Updates Its Android App And Mobile Version Site With Hindi Language

The mobile site Android app users of Amazon have got a reason to cheer up, as the e-commerce giant has rolled out Hindi language support in a first of its kind move. This new feature of new language support indicates the importance of the Indian market and the consumers. After the addition, the company has got a chance to get close to the wider audience in the country. Amazon said that customers will be able to read detailed product information, search for deals and discounts, place the orders, pay for the orders, manage their account details and track their favorite orders and also view order history in the Hindi language itself.

When you see into the left Menu bar of Amazon India’s Android app and mobile website, you will find a new language option available there. There is no need for app update as the new language option will show up thanks to a server-side update message, the company announced during a press event in New Delhi. The new button provided in the Menu helps you to switch between English to Hindi and as of now, it is displaying only the top products along with important shopping information in the Hindi language. The Hindi language facility does not give all products in the regional language, but key features like navigation buttons and posters doe read in Hindi. Amazon clarifies that the search feature and the delivery address details require English as well, but after some time, it is ready to add more shopping features like product reviews, queries, and answers in the Hindi language.

What you go to do it, just select the preferred language and it will get saved, and then whenever you use it, it will help you out in the Hindi language. There is no problem if you want to switch the language later on. The app for iOS and the Amazon.in website for desktop will be updated with the feature later on after some time. Amazon further said that it will introduce other Indic languages in the near future and said that Hindi was started as a first one due to the fact that many of users of up to 50% want to use its app and website in the Hindi language.

“Our aim is to ensure any customer can find anything they want on Amazon.in, anytime and anywhere, irrespective of the language they speak or where they came from. The launch of the Hindi shopping experience is a significant step towards bringing the next 100 million customers online. The first Indian language launch will enable crores of Hindi-preferring customers across India to shop in their preferred language,” Manish Tiwary, VP, Category Management, Amazon India, said in a company statement.
