Hero Man Jumps In Freezing Water To Save Trapped Dog

Don Chatten is currently being hailed as a hero for saving a dog that was trapped in freezing icy water.

Chatten was at the Bark Park at Ellicott Creek Park walking with his 2 dogs when suddenly one of his dogs start to act differently.

Immediately, Chatten realized that something was wrong and he didn’t know exactly what to expect until he heard a whimpering coming from a distance.

Don and his dogs headed down to the creek below, where he found a tiny dog stranded in the icy water.

Don called for help but he knew the dog couldn’t wait for the rescue team.

The dog was whimpering for help and was not going to survive much longer, so in a heroic act, Don jumped into the icy water.

The brave man broke the ice with his hands and walked in the freezing water all the way to the poor puppy.

The hero grabbed the pet pooch, held him up by his chest, and took him back to the solid ground.

The adorable pooch that Don rescued was a Terrier mix named Jackson.

Jackson had been missing for some time now.

Jackson was taken to the vet so Don could make sure that the pet pooch was okay.

The pet pooch was given emergency care for hypothermia the moment he was brought to the vet hospital.

The vet said the quick and selfless action of Don helped them save the life of the pet pooch.

Jackson was reunited with his beloved owner, making Don a selfless hero.

Don says he is not the only one that should be receiving the credit for saving the life of Jackson.

The kind man says his dog should receive the credit because he was the one that sensed something was wrong in a nearby area.
