Khao Yai National Park: Driver Escapes After Elephant Tries To Mate With His Car

A driver was stopped in the middle of his journey after an elephant decided to climb on top of his car and tries to mate with it in Khao Yai National Park in Thailand.

In a video that was shared with the public, the 35-year-old bull elephant could be seen wagging his tail before laying his front legs across the car.

After a couple of seconds, the elephant rubs himself against the car, as he would if he was mating with a female elephant.

The 35-year-old animal manages to plunk on top while the person who was filming the video started to gasp.

Phassakorn Niltarach, the passenger of the car, was helpless when the animal stood over the car.

The elephant even managed to break the rear window of the car, its roof, and some of its body during the “mating” incident.

As the elephant moved a bit, the driver of the car manages to make a speedy exit.

In images and videos that were shared afterwards, it showed the broken exterior of the car.

You could also see the elephant shocked as the car sped away.

According to the staff of the Khao Yai National Park, the gesture was Duea’s, the elephant, way of greeting tourists.

According to Kanchit Sarinpawan, the director of the Khao Yai National Park, said Duea will never hurt anyone visiting the park.

In Khao Yai National Park, visitors and drivers are instructed to stop 30 meters away if they see an elephant coming.

Drivers are also advised to keep their engine on and back away if the animal comes closer to them.
