Woman Attaches Camera On Bird Feeder To Capture Hilarious And Adorable Images And Videos Of Birds And Animals

Lisa, who is also known as Ostdrossel, moved from Germany to Michigan, the USA in 2012, after falling in love. But little did she know that she would also fall in love with amazing birds that were living behind her house.

Lisa realized that there were a lot of birds behind her house, and she decided to add a bird feeder with a camera so she could have pictures of the animals.

Talking about the animals, Lisa said, “There was so much color and diversity, different from what I was used to in city life.”

She added, “I wanted to share them with my family in Germany and so I started feeding birds and taking photos.”

Lisa started out with a normal camera, but she only captures images and videos that were still.

Lisa wanted to capture amazing “secret bird moments”. So she went on to build her own bird feeder camera.

Lisa went on to check the pictures and the videos that the camera captured.

She said, “I have set up a nesting box for the Bluebirds in my yard which also has a camera inside and I have watched them building their nests and raising their babies for several years now.”

She added, “They are very special to me and the best is when their babies are old enough to be brought to the yard by their parents and get taught how to eat mealworms.”

Lisa’s favorite time to watch the birds is when they are migrating.

Fall is creeping in, the Orioles and Grosbeaks have left, and the feeders are currently dominated by a group of about 20 Mourning Doves. This is getting a little overwhelming, and there are still plenty of food sources out there for them right now, so I will reduce their access to my feeders for a while in hopes that they will disperse. The groundhog has also become a very frequent visitor, and just for the sake of yard management, I feel like right now is a good time to take a little break and clean the plate so to speak. I have tons of photos and videos from summer that I haven’t posted yet, so I will try to maintain the flow 🙂 #critters #crittersofinstagram #groundhog #woodchuck #Murmeltier #yardmanagement #fallpreparation #birdwatching #birdfeeding #birdlovers #naturelovers #nature #GitUp #naturephotography

Lisa said, “You never know who might show up. One time, there was a Summer Tanager, then a Palm Warbler, birds like that. They are only passing through and it is exciting to spot them.”

Something that amazed Lisa is that other animals started to show up too.

She said, “The chipmunk just started showing up recently, I love the Opossum, [and] the Groundhog is a longtime resident. There is also a family of skunks each year.”

Lisa shares images and videos of birds and other animals that are captured by the bird feeder camera.

Ostdrossel, which is the username of Lisa on Instagram, shares amazing images and videos of the animals on her Facebook account and Instagram page, where she has over 20,000 followers.

Talking about the experience, Lisa said, “Watching the birds and working my garden in a natural and critter and bird-friendly way is something that calms me and balances me in these chaotic times.”

She added, “The fact that my photos and videos seem to have the same effect on other people, too, is a wonderful plus.”

Lisa said birds have helped her understand how humans could impact the relationships with animals and humans.

She said she wants to do more to help preserve animals and nature.

This is an amazing story!
