A couple in Bournemouth were shocked after they saw a caterpillar crawling out of a chicken and avocado wrap that they ordered at a JD Wetherspoon Pub.

Molly and James Hawes took photos of the incident to show people that it was real.

The couple was about to eat their food, but luckily, Molly, the girlfriend of James Hawes, saw the caterpillar crawling out of the salad on her wrap.

James took pictures and a short video of the caterpillar.

During an interview with LADbible, James Hawes said, “We were in Bournemouth at The Moon on the Square and my girlfriend Molly was waiting for an avocado and chicken wrap. Out of nowhere, she screamed ‘what’s that on my wrap?’ and there was a caterpillar just crawling across her salad.”

He added, “It came all the way out of it. It was quite funny but mad. The manager asked up if we’d like a refund, and we said ‘yes please!'”

The manager gave a full refund for the order of the couple.

LADbible approached JD Wetherspoon for a statement on the incident.

The JD Wetherspoon said that they are currently investigating the incident.

Eddie Gershon, the spokesperson of the JD Wetherspoon, said, “We are investigating this and will report back to the gentleman in due course. We serve millions of meals each year and food hygiene standards are vitally important to the company.”
