Tata Consultancy Services is one of the reputed companies in the country. It is a multinational Business organisation which has its headquarters in Mumbai. TCS secured its place in one of the most valuable and trustworthy IT brands in the world. TCS is the largest private sector company in the country with an employee strength of 387,000.
There has been an ever long gossip among the employees that TCS will be giving a cheque of Rs. 50,000 to the groom who will marry from within the organisation. To be honest no one knows the accuracy of the statement but we found some interesting answers to the above question on Quora.
When the question was asked, a former employee of TCS messaged his Junior who fell in love with his co-employee in TCS and got married to her.
Clearly, from the above screenshot, we can say that TCS won’t be giving any incentives if you’re marrying someone within the organisation.
There are many people who have heard the rumour but none of them has seen TCS issuing a cheque to all the couples who choose their partners within the organisation itself.
TCS is emerging to be fastest growing IT brand in the country. It spends around Rs. 1,100 crores on Research and Development and recently it made some changes in the way R&D department spends the funds. Talking about the same TCS Ceo, Rajesh Gopinathan said,
“It is not about increasing overall spend, we are actually increasing the information flow and governance, increasing the leverage of the existing budget. The business units continue to have autonomy on what they want to do, but there are better oversight and governance from the CTO office,”
TCS is one of the few organisations which started its own incubation hub rather than just acquiring the businesses like all other rival firms do.
