Express Train Rams Into a Temple in Madhya Pradesh, Six Injured

Tragically in a major accident at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh a train rammed into a temple during shunting at the yard attached to Gwalior railway station this early morning injuring six people instantaneously and severely who had been rushed to nearby hospital. Reportedly there are two versions of the incident where the version of police officers and the version of eye witness have been contradictory. Eyewitness of the tragic incident claim that Barauni – Gwalior Mail express train hit the temple directly which is a due negligence of the concerned officers while the police officers elaborate the incident with a different story as they say that initially the train hit a giant tree which fell collapsed on the tree leaving the temple priest and many other nearby people during the occurrence of the accident were left injured.

Fatal Injuries to Temple Priest and Young Boy

Thus, it is clear that the train rammed into the temple which can be concluded from police version although the main cause if the accident has to be yet to be known. The temple priest was reported that he has been severely injured was found under debris after the occurrence of the accident who is identified as Ram Nivas Sharma who is 50 years old. The accident destroyed the whole temple and destructed most of the whole temple. Assistant Sub Inspector of police KL Rai at Government Railway Police (GRP), Gwalior had proclaimed that “Accident occurred at around 7am while the coaches of the train were being attached at the yard, beyond the platform No 4.” He further added stating that a pair of wheels slipped off the track during shunting that made the train roll freely and astray. The tree into which the train rammed was located in the temple premises. Three devotees and a labour who were working near the yard also got injured.

Injured Rushed to District Hospital

All the injured in this accident have been sent to the district hospital of Gwalior and four people are believed to be seriously injured. Terrible injuries occurred with a temple priest and a young boy whose ages are inappropriate and haven’t been ascertained and they are sustaining fatal injuries. Railway Mazdoor Union and other Railway employees union and daily wage workers staged protest condemning the occurred accident and demanded immediate suspension of the concerned officers and railways staff which has led to such an inconvenience to many and destroyed the Hindu temple. There was huge demand for the suspension of motorman and guard accusing them of negligence which made the innocent people to sustain and suffer with the fatal injuries accompanied with tis demand there was another demand which was raised to provide free treatment for the injured.
