A family from Kilkenny, Ireland, won $6.4 million in a jackpot from the National Lottery’s Lotto drawing.

The best part about this story is that they have been playing the lottery for the past 25 years with the same numbers!

The Kilkenny Father, whose identity was not shared with the public, said that he was looking at a newspaper in a local store when he spotted some familiar numbers in the Lotto Drawing announcement section.

He knew something was just right.

The man said that he and his family have been playing the exact same Lotto numbers for the last 25 years.

He said that he could spot their numbers from a mile off.

Recalling the moment, he said that he was queuing up in the shop when they spotted them numbers out of the corner of their eye on the top of one of the newspapers that he saw in the local store.

He explained:

We have been playing the exact same Lotto numbers for over 25 years so I could spot them from a mile off. I was queuing up in the shop when I spotted them out of the corner of my eye on the top of one of the newspapers. It was that exact moment, I instantly knew that we had won over 5 million without even having to check the ticket!

The man said that they rushed back to their house to inform his family members that they had won a lot of money.

A family meeting was done to inform their relatives that they had won $6,379,856.66.

The man said that they will be using the money that they won in the lottery to help out their family members that had gone through financial problems in recent months.

The father said that they will not be spending the money on buying new cars or going on “silly” spending sprees.

He explained:

We won’t be rushing into any silly spending sprees with new cars or any of that but the one thing we have all been looking forward to is visiting our own individual banks to pay off our mortgages. There really is no better feeling than that.

Such an amazing thing to do right now, especially because of the coronavirus pandemic.
