The much anticipated Jio Phone exchange offer waiting is now over as it is available via all the retail partners of the company near you. The offer was announced at the 41st Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Annual General Meeting (AGM) earlier this month.
The new exchange offer for the Jio phone (under the official banner as “Monsoon Hungama Offer”) is designed to attract existing feature phone users to try a new Jio Phone at an effective price of Rs. 501. The small price is also eligible for 100 percent refund and is taken as a security deposit. After a period of three years, the refund will be done.
The offer timing started yesterday at 5:01 pm but was limited to Jio Stores only. So the consumer can directly head to any Jio authorized retail store nearby and exchange their old feature phone for the company’s 4G feature phone. The Jio operator has also announced a new Rs. 99 recharge for users of the phone.
The terms and conditions of Jio Phone exchange are:
*The Monsoon Hungama Offers avails the customers to exchange their existing feature phones for a new Jio Phone at a small sum of Rs. 501.
*Under the plan the company will accept all type of old phones based on 2G/3G/4G (non-VoLTE) existing feature phones. The old feature phones must be in working condition along with a charger and its battery.
*Customers have choice get a new Jio SIM along with the handset under the new offer or they can easily opt for Mobile Number Portability (MNP) to retain their existing number.
*Moreover, the company has set rules for the exchanging the old phones for the new Jio Phones with condition that the old phones must be in working condition without any damage/missing parts or broken/burnt parts.
*The old feature phone means such phones that were sold were sold from January 1, 2015, onwards are eligible for exchange.
Apart from above details, the company Jio is also offering a special Jio Phone recharge plan for those customers who choose Monsoon Hungama offer. Under the new plan, the customer will get unlimited voice and 500MB 4G data per day for a total of six months on paying just Rs. 594 at the time of activation of the new Jio Phone. The offer also avails the facility of 300 free SMS messages for every 28 days cycle extending up to the total period of six months.
Adding more attractiveness to the feature phone exchange offer, the Jio company also offers a special exchange bonus of 6GB data voucher worth Rs. 101. Thus the customer will benefit a total data of 90GB for a period of six months. This offer announcement was done much later than the RIL AGM, but the customers will have to pay the amount of Rs. 594 sum to avail the facilities of the Monsoon Hungama offer. This payment of Rs. 594 is mainly a one-time deposit for 6 recharges summed up with the multiplication of the new Rs. 99 pack.

With the added functionalities, our wider network reach across India and strong retail presence across India, the goal that I have now set for our Jio team is to enable 100 million users on this platform in the shortest possible time.”
