Police officials said, on Thursday, just within 3 hours in the Gautam Buddh Nagar District, police have arrested around 69 criminals in a concerted crackdown operation.
Officials added, all of these arrests were made during the Operation All Out, this operation was launched by Senior Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Krishna, and the areas they covered were Greater Noida and Noida.
1,291 vehicle owners were also fined during the span of the operation, most of them had a vehicle but no proper documents or were breaking the law. The police got Rs. 90,050 from fines.
The police impounded around 329 vehicles and arrested 69 people from 40 urban and 39 rural areas
Officials say: “The operation began at 12 pm and continued till 3 pm during which policemen were deployed at spots from where cash loots, mobile and jewellery snatching and other street crimes are often reported.”
He added: “Policemen were also deployed at spots that witness large cash transfers – such as jewelry markets, banks, liquor shops. The focus was on checking vehicles which had tampered number plates. Because in most cases, such vehicles are used to commit crimes.”
The police also seized a .32 pistol, two country-made pistols, revolver, liquor, and two stolen motorcycles during the Operation All Out.
The Gautam Budd Nagar has 22 police stations, one is a dedicated women police station, 8 are in Noida City, and the others are in the Rural and Greater parts of the City.
Senior officials Sudha Singh and Vineet Jaiswal were the two Superintendents of the police who led the teams in Greater Noida and Noida.
