Pooja Bhatt Takes A Dig At Sonu’s Azaan Comments, Salutes The Spirit Of India! Twitter Users Supported Her!

Yesterday, the Indian popular singer Sonu Nigam has gained the topmost position on Twitter’s trending charts after making some eccentric statements on the ‘Azaan-Muslim call for prayer’.

He boldly took on to his twitter handle and went tweeting how he’s offended by the religious contexts. He questioned the necessity of broadcasting the announcement on loudspeakers from mosques in public. Labeling it ‘forced religiousness’, and using the word “Gundagardi”, Sonu’s tweet created quite a stir!

If you’re not in the know, his early morning rant looked like this. 

Needless to say, it divided the entire nation and invited a lot of criticism. Some didn’t realize that Sonu had not only complained about the mosques but had also mentioned about gurudwaras and temples in his post.

It gave rise to a heated debate on Twitter and many hit out at Sonu for being so insensitive towards religion. On the other hand, there were some section people who supported his views against forced religiousness and tweeted in favor of him.

Countering Sonu Nigam’s argument, now Pooja Bhatt has voiced her opinion on the matter taking a dig at his tweets.

Many celebrities reminded Sonu that he had crossed the line this time; Pooja Bhatt tried to counter Sonu’s views with 1 tweet and explained how she’s in love with the spirit of India. She indirectly meant that Sonu should stop complaining and start enjoying it.
