Here are the visuals of Uttarakhand forest which have been burning since more than a week. Yet no media came to cover the incident. Going deep into the reason for the fire, it is revealed that the locals are paid to set these trees on fire. Shocking, isn’t it?
According to the estimations, around 1600 hectares of the forest has been burnt in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. The fire has also affected residents of around villages in the neighbouring areas.

Despite the grave situation, the government of Uttarakhand and the fire department has done little to bring it under control.
“Wildlife areas have been reporting regular forest fires but no wild animal has been killed in the fires so far. All protected areas are taking great care of their wild species,” said BP Gupta, nodal officer for the forest fire.

The visuals are difficult to perceive because our country has been struggling with extreme climate changes and droughts that are the prime reasons why our villages and farmers are dealing with parched lands.
