Despite the grave situation, the government of Uttarakhand and the fire department has done little to bring it under control.

“Wildlife areas have been reporting regular forest fires but no wild animal has been killed in the fires so far. All protected areas are taking great care of their wild species,” said BP Gupta, nodal officer for the forest fire.

The visuals are difficult to perceive because our country has been struggling with extreme climate changes and droughts that are the prime reasons why our villages and farmers are dealing with parched lands.
