Recently, Vegetarian protesters went on a march in Perth and yelled out at people who were eating meat.
The protesters were part of the “Direct Action Everywhere”, they formed a line and walked in Leederville with a couple of signs and even a screen.
James Warden, an activist said, “On the screens, we’ll be playing the Dominion documentary that highlights the inherent cruelty of the industry, speciesism. So that’s all we’re trying to project.”
Dominion is a documentary that was released in 2018, the documentary has some footages that are hard to watch, it shows some of the things that happen in farms that are pretty disturbing.
The protest was captured in a video, in which, many protesters could be seen approaching people eating at restaurants.
One woman yelled out “Chicks are blended alive in a macerator or gassed to death simply because they don’t produce eggs. Male calves are slaughtered as young as six weeks old simply because they don’t produce milk.”
She added, “Animals don’t want better lives, they want freedom. We have a choice the animals don’t.”
The people who were shouted at were not impressed about what the protesters were doing.
Well, it is pretty annoying when you are just trying to have a decent meal with the person you love and someone comes at you and yells at you for eating what you like.
When the video was shared on Facebook, many users felt the same.
Here are some of the comments in the video:
A user said, “Well done, you’ve just annoyed regular people who are just trying to have an enjoyable night out. If anything you have turned more people against your cause.”
Another one added, “You guys rock. Never be silent.”
Direct Action Everywhere is the same group that threw a dead piglet on a counter in a McDonald’s last year.
The group held up signs that said “Meat is Murder” and “I want to live”.
