Sister Of Kim Jong Un Vanishes From Public View, Experts Believe She Is Now Controlling North Korea

Kim Yo Jong, the younger sister of Kim Jong Un, has vanished from public view.

Experts are now believing that Kim Yo Jong has taken more control over the country, which is why she has gone away from public view.

Yo Jung has not been spotted in the country since July 27, 2020.

Chosun Ilbo, a South Korean news outlet, said this can be an indication of the country trying to keep her safe as the dictator has granted her more authority.

As of writing this, South Korean spies believe that Kim Yo Jung is the de facto second-in-command. However, she is not the designated successor of the country.

Talking about the absence of Kim Yo Jung, Korea University Professor Nam Sung-Wook said:

In the past, anyone was deprived of their position the moment they were described as the No. 2 person in the North. There must be a semblance of checks and balances, although Kim Yo Jong is a family member.

Kim Yo Jung was last seen last month when she stood beside the Hermit Kingdom Honcho.

Yo Jung was not seen in the images that the North Korean state released on Tuesday.

She was also missing at other meetings that were carried out during this summer.

She is currently an alternate member of the Politburo, the senior body of North Korea’s ruling party.

The absences of Kim Yo Jung are unusual, but this could also indicate that she is carrying out more jobs assigned to her as she is the de facto second-in-command.
