APPSC Group 1 Mains Results 2016:

The A.P. Public Service Commission came into existence on 1st November 1956 with the formation of the State of Andhra Pradesh. Before this, there was Andhra Public Service Commission in the Andhra State and Hyderabad Public Service Commission in the Hyderabad State. Andhra Service Commission came into existence only in 1953 after the bifurcation of composite Madras State into Andhra and Madras States.

On the eve of formation of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, Andhra Public Service Commission was functioning with a Chairman and two Members and Hyderabad Public Service Commission was functioning with one Member. Hence, A.P. Public Service Commission was constituted with a Chairman and 3 Members. With increasing workload, Government enhanced the Members as five in the year 1981 and later to Chairman and 7 Members in the year 1983. The government again reviewed the strength in 1994 and enhanced it to Chairman and 9 Members. This is the present strength.

It conducts various examinations for the recruitment of eligible candidates in different departments. This year it has conducted Group I mains exam and the candidates who had appeared for the exam can check the results from the direct link provided below.

APPSC released notification and invited online applications for the recruitment of various posts through Group 1 exam. A large number of eligible and interested candidates applied and appeared for the exam. Candidates who had written the exam can check the results from the direct link provided below.

The candidates who are provisionally qualified for interview (Oral Test) are required to produce the original Certificates at the time of verification of documents on the same day of interview, relating to Age, proof of age relaxation Qualifications, Study certificate, Integrated Community certificate in case reserved candidates, certificate of exclusion from Creamy layer in case of B.Cs from Revenue authorities in terms of G.O. Ms. No.3,
Backward Classes Welfare (C-2) Department, dt.04/04/2006, P.H. certificate in case of disabled candidates etc., failing which, they will not be treated as eligible with reference to the particulars furnished by him/her in the Online application form / Certificates.

The results of such candidate(s) shall be cancelled at any stage in the process of selection. The Commission has the right to disqualify any candidate, if he/she is not found eligible for any reason. A total of 294 candidates have been shortlisted by the Commission for interview.
