SpaceX Launched First High-Speed Internet Satellites Into Orbit
Another SpaceX launched on 23rd Feb 2018, after three delays in this week. The launch was successful and the latest Falcon 8 to drop low earth orbit satellites. SpaceX unloaded two smaller satellites that will test the technology and the infrastructure made out of thousands of satellites to bring high-speed internet in the most deserved corners of the planet.
Elon Musk has some different plans that are against to the current options. Currently, the internet is providing image via large satellite in geostationary orbit which is very high above the earth. All the people who are using these signals are able to watch Television and were able to access the internet in remote and rural areas with fixed cables and wireless signals.
This process of receiving signals is having many problems with it. As there is a lot of distance between the geostationary satellite and the side of your house. This is making difference in the streaming of the video because of the weather conditions and atmospheric conditions and so on.
Mark has another concept of creating huge networks with small satellites that are constantly moving in very low earth orbit. This can reduce the lag time and improve the speed of streaming.
“It has onboard thrusters and a guidance system to bring it through the atmosphere intact, then releases a parafoil and our ship with basically a giant catcher’s mitt welded on tries to catch it,” Musk said, sharing a photo of the boat.
Elon Musk tweeted, “First two Starlink demo satellites, called Tintin A & B, deployed and communicating to Earth stations”.
