To every cricket fan out there, there has always been a wish to connect with the players when they see them on screen. However, connecting with our idols or favorites became very easy with the inception of social media. Some of the social media websites are Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
One can follow his favorite cricketer and can also express his personal feelings on the posts of the cricketer. In this regard, there are two different sides such as good and bad. Thus, the social media won’t detain anyone from writing what he or she feels and cricketers can face too much backlash.
Irfan is now being trolled for sharing a photo of him celebrating Rakshabandhan in various social media platforms. This is not the first time he became the subject of social media trolls. The incident comes days after Pathan was subjected to trolls on religious grounds, where people shamed him for showing his wife’s arms or called her out for wearing nail polish.
Pathan took to Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to post a photograph of himself with a Rakhi tied around his wrist and wished everyone on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. “Happy Rakhi everyone #rakshabandhan,” Pathan captioned the image.

Soon after Pathan shared the photo with Rakhi, he was quick to become a target of Islamic radical trolls who either called it un-Islamic or abused him for celebrating a ‘Hindu festival.’ The post garnered both positive and negative reactions in large numbers.
People Reactions:
Replying to all the hate and criticism he was receiving in the name of Islam, Pathan hit back at trolls by posting a strong comment.
“Using foul language. Talking each other rudely on basis of religion. It shows nothing but your own learning which some ppl have gathered in their mind over the years.stop this nonsense of putting each other down,” Pathan commented.
Mohammed Shami was also attacked on social media twice. Recently, he was trolled for posting ‘un-Islamic’ pictures of his daughter’s birthday while back in 2016, Shami was slammed for posting a picture with his wife, who was wearing a sleeveless gown, and he was reminded by Muslim fanatics of his religion.
