MS Dhoni – The Untold Love Story, Biopic on the Indian skipper “Mahendra Singh Dhoni” hit the big-screens on 30th of the September. It is running successfully. Even the haters became Dhoni’s fan after watching the movie. Sushant Singh Rajput impressed the audience with his role as MS Dhoni. Though there is a lag in the screenplay and the run-time, on the whole, work done by all those who worked for this movie is an appreciable one.

But the common doubt among all the cricket fans after watching the movie is that “missing the role of Virat Kohli (Indian Test Cricket Team Skipper) in the biopic.” Before the release of the movie, the news that created the buzz in the Bollywood is that “Fawad Khan is supposed to do the cameo role of Virat in the biopic.”

According to a source of the filmmakers, “Fawad was the part of the film and even some scenes were also shot with him.” His role was surprising to the viewers until the week before the release of the movie. But in the final movie, we haven’t seen his role. Here is the reason behind his absence in the film.

Moreover, Neeraj Pandey doesn’t want the biopic under any controversies. At that same time, his role was not as important as the Dhoni’s role. So to avoid controversies he removed the role of Virat Kohli in the biopic.
A source from the film told the portal,
“Neeraj Pandey didn’t want any negative publicity or controversy around the film. Though Fawad Khan’s character was an integral part of the film, but it wasn’t as important as that of MS Dhoni’s. So he thought it’s better to do away with the Fawad’s portions in the film than face the ire of this controversy. Neeraj didn’t want the focus of the film to shift from MS Dhoni and Sushant Singh Rajput to Fawad Khan, Virat Kohli and Pakistan”
