In the ongoing ODI series between India and Australia, Umpire Richard Kettleborough sustained a leg injury during the 4th ODI at Manuka Oval in Canberra. He was hit by the ball on the right leg shin from a straight drive by Aaron Finch. Ishant Sharma was bowling and as soon as Finch hit the ball to straight drive, Ishant tried to catch the ball but he missed.

A closer look shows that the ball came off the bowler’s hand and hit the umpire’s leg.

Being hit on the shin bone, He has been replaced by Paul Wilson. Umpire Kettkeborough jumped to his right in the trajectory of the straight drive, as the ball hit the bowlers hand and eventually Umpire’s shin.
