It seems that Indian Women’s team has prepared for the toughest in the World Cup finals. With the very consistency in clinching wickets of the English, Indian bowlers have successfully resisted the valiant rivals, who were title favorites for being their unprecedented winnings during all these years.
Especially it was India’s senior pace bowlers Jhulan Goswami’s show all the way, meanwhile, others kept their cool in the summit clash and restricted England to 228/7 in 50 overs with some disciplined bowling and sharp fielding. First, it was spinners who dent the English innings with three quick wickets after the hosts started the final on a positive note, with openers putting up the 47-run stand. Poonam Yadav struck twice in two overs, after Rajeshwari Gayakwad gave India their first break in the 12th over, and reduced England to 63/3 in 16.1 overs.
It was Sarah Taylor and Natalie Sciver who added 83 for the fourth wicket to resurrect England innings before Goswami struck twice in two balls in the 33rd over. Sciver went on to score a half-century but became the third victim of Goswami. Katherine Brunt scored a handy 34 down the order to take England past the 200-run mark and that’s how the whole game has come to one side.
Following the audacious game played by the Women, netizens went praising the players for their valiance and attacking nature.

I just watched a final of a World Cup in which a 19-year old girl bowled the 50th over and just conceded 7 runs. Super. #WWC17Final

Fantastic from Goswami. The most effective destruction of an innings by an Indian in a World Cup match since Gavaskar’s 36 not out. #WWC17
