As we all know each and every cricketer has his own jersey number on the back. Whenever we hear the word ‘jersey’, we remember Sachin Tendulkar’s no.10, MS Dhoni’s no. 7, Virat Kohli’s no.18 and so on. And not to forget every player his own special reasons and beliefs behind their on jersey numbers.

And so do India’s “Wonder Women” have a special reason behind her jersey number 84 that is winning the Internet now. Want to know the actual reason is? Read the story below.

As per sources, it is said that Harmanpreet wears it to show solidarity with the victims of the 1984 riots. Yes, you read that right. She is pretty vocal about it and openly declares her intentions.

The 1984 anti-Sikh riots were a sad period in India’s history. It was the aftermath of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s assassination by her Sikh bodyguards.

She also dedicates all her success to those who lost their lives in the violence.

Even she wore the same Jersey Number. 84 in BIG Bash League:

We hope it is this resolve which will drive her to produce yet another good performance and bring home the title.
