The Chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus is all set to make an announcement at its OnePlus Event tomorrow, i.e., on October 29. The conference will be held in India, Jakarta, London, Beijing and some other countries. It later confirmed that the event will take place in New Delhi. The company had announced that it will launch OnePlus X aka OnePlus Mini in India. It had also posted the news on its Facebook and Twitter India pages with a tagline, “See you on October 29, India.” On its Chinese official website, it shows a teaser with an image of large X symbolizing that the device might be entitled ‘OnePlus X’.
The company also posted a news stating that it would start taking reservations for entrants who attend the event on October 29. The Event is scheduled to begin at 4:30 PM IST tomorrow. Over the past couple of months, we’ve been seeing some leaks of OnePlus X or Mini, but there were no leaks about its pricing. Here are the expected specs and leaked price of the upcoming OnePlus X aka Mini smartphone.
Expected Specifications of OnePlus X
According to some reports, OnePlus X is expected to be a smaller phone than the current OnePlus 2 with a screen size of 5 inches with a Full HD resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixel covered in 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 or 4 protection. The device would run Oxygen OS which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device is expected to have a MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) chipset coupled with a 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and a 32 GB of native storage which can be further expandable via micro SD card.
Coming to the camera, the handset is expected to have a 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 rear snapper and a 5-megapixel wide-angle front facing Camera. There are also some reports that the new device will sport IP67 certification for water and dust resistance along with a support for NFC, infrared port, 1.2W front-facing stereo speakers, and removable StyleSwap covers.OnePlus X is expected to be fueled by a 3,000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. It is also expected that it will come with a USB Type-C connector that have Quick Charge 2.0 capabilities.
Leaked Price
According to a leaked promotional image in a Chinese ad, the OnePlus X is advertised at a price of ¥1,699 (Approximately Rs. 17, 400). However, this is the pricing in the Chinese market, so it might be even cheaper in India and other countries. OnePlus seems to come out with a budget smartphone after looking at the price range of OnePlus X. It’s cost is comparatively less than OnePlus 2, the company’s flagship device that cost around Rs. 25,000 in India.
