Xiaomi mobile company is on good form which is launching many new smart phones into the market. We have seen Xiaomi Redmi 2 launched few days back in Andhra Pradesh. Xiaomi has also established a manufacturing company in Vishakhapatnam. Thus the company had started manufacturing the mobiles here.

Xiaomi had unveiled Redmi Note 2 which is the upgraded version of its budget phablet Redmi Note and Redmi Note 2 Prime in China. The phone comes with several improvements over its predecessor, including in new design, display, processor, camera, and a new version of MIUI. The Redmi Note 2 is priced at 899 yuan (around Rs 9,000) while the Prime variant will be sold at 999 yuan (around Rs 10,000).

Specifications And New Features:

The Redmi Note 2 is featured with 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920p) display and weighs 160grams. The new Redmi Note 2 runs on the MediaTek Helio X10 chipset, with eight Cortex-A53 CPU cores. We have previously seen this chipset being used on the HTC One M9+, which was a flagship device unlike the Redmi Note 2. The phone also has 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage.

The Redmi Note 2 Prime variant comes with 32GB storage. It also has a slightly faster 2.2GHz CPU compared to the 2.0GHz on the standard Redmi Note 2. The phone features a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera made by Omni Vision. The camera also has phase detection autofocus, which is much faster than conventional contrast detection autofocus systems.

The new software will have a number of features including face recognition in the Gallery app. The ROM will be unveiled globally on 19 August.
