Florida Woman Discovers 7-Foot Alligator Enjoying Late-Night Swim In Her Pool

Kerri Kibbe, a resident of Port Charlotte, Florida, saw a 7-foot long alligator enjoying a late-night swim in her pool on the 27th of July, 2019.

During an interview with Fox 35 Orlando News, Kerri said that she was shocked when she saw the alligator swimming in her pool.

Reports suggest that it took 4 hours for the officials of Port Charlotte to remove the alligator from her house.

Kerri said she discovered the alligator after she went to switch on the pool light after she heard noisy splashes coming from her pool, which is located in her backyard.

During an interview with WBBH-TV, Kerri explained what she saw, “He was initially down at the bottom just floating there but when I turned the light on it stirred him up and got him going.”

She added, “I would never have thought, I mean there’s been a coyote, there’s been a bobcat, there’s been possums, but never would I have thought a gator.”

Kerri said that she was thinking to leave the alligator in the pool alone, but realized that she has three kids and three dogs.

Kerri then called the officials of the Charlotte County and told them that an alligator was in her pool.

The Charlotte County Officials also brought in an alligator trapper for assistance.

According to the alligator trapper, the alligator they caught was around 15-years-old.

The alligator is safe and has been transported to an alligator facility where it could mate and reproduce with other gators.
