The baggage weight limit is pretty hard to follow, especially if you’re going on a long trip. If you go extra, you have to pay an extra weight fee and you know it can be expensive.

One airline passenger from the Philippines decided to go on extreme lengths to avoid paying an extra baggage fee.

The passenger went on to wear 2.5 kilograms of extra clothes after her carry-on luggage exceeded the maximum weight of 7 kilograms.

Gel Rodriquez refused to pay the extra money, and instead, she decided to wear everything because why not?

Gel decided to share the entire incident on Social Media, and you could see her wearing a lot of pants, t-shirts, and jackets.

On the post, she wrote, “From 9kg to 6.5kg baggage #ExcessBaggageChallengeAccepted.”

After posting the picture of her wearing a lot of clothes, her post went viral.

Her post has over 6.7 thousand likes, over 21 thousand shares, and over 800 comments.

During an interview with Gel, she said, “I didn’t want to pay the fee for the excess baggage because it was only 2 kilograms.”

She added, “If I had known it would go viral, I would have posed better.”

Talking about if she recommends other people doing what she did, Rodriguez said, “It was really hot. I don’t recommend other people do it.”
