New York Couple Build Giant Bed So They Can Fit All Their 8 Rescue Dogs

A couple from New York City, USA, ended up building a giant bed so they can fit all their 8 rescue dogs in a single place.

I mean, I want one!!

After a number of few sleepless evenings, Chris and Mariesa Hughes, who are from Clifton Park, New York, decided that they had enough.

The dogs wanted to sleep on the bed and it was hard for them, so they ended up pushing the dogs below or out of the bed.

During an interview with Today, a news agency in the USA, Chris said:

At night time all of the dogs want to sleep on the bed and sometimes it becomes too cluttered, and we end up being pushed off of the bed or sleeping on the couch. So we built the mega bed.

The couple contacted Mike Ford, their friend who is a carpenter, for the project.

They ended up creating a massive 14 feet long and 7 feet wide bed for their dogs.

Mike added:

I had to make some modifications in the design and start over on the headboard because it was so large. It wouldn’t fit through the door in my shop.

The bed cost the couple a massive $4,800.

The bed has a special dog stairway for the dogs that are elderly and have a hard time moving around too much.

Talking about the bed, Mike said that he added a dog print from his senior dog because they have such a heart for dogs.

The couple owns and operates the Mr. Mo Project, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping rehome senior dogs in warm homes.

Such an amazing thing to do!
