Don’t fight the police: Florida man badly loses fight with cops and K-9

A man from Florida was brutally beaten up after losing a fight with cops and their K-9.

It’s simple kids, do not fight with the police.

The man was reportedly taken into custody after the police said that he was repeatedly attacking 2 sheriff’s deputies and their K-9 despite losing and regaining consciousness 2 times.

Not only that, a taser was also used on the man.

The incident happened earlier this week in Escambia County.

A driver reportedly called the police to report a man that was trying to grab his steering wheel and carjack his vehicle while walking in and out of traffic.

When the victim came back home, they ended up finding the same person on their porch trying to break inside their house.

Inside the house was the daughter of the victim.

The authorities did not reveal if the 2 men knew each other or if it was just coincidence.

Upon arriving at the scene, they saw 25-year-old Eric Tyler Mathis hiding behind a blue tarp on the property of the victim.

The suspect told the police officers that it was his property and yelled at them.

While trying to arrest him, he was extremely violent.

A taser was used, however, it was not effective.

When the taser failed, the police ended up deploying Zeek, a k-9.

The suspect still fought the police despite this.

Eventually, the man was arrested.

Mathis is currently facing charges that include robbery, burglary battery, resisting a police officer and public order crime.

Sheriff Chip W. Simmons released a statement about the incident.

They said:

We are also glad neither the deputies or K-9 Zeek were seriously injured. A person cannot illegally enter another person’s occupied vehicle, cannot illegally enter another person’s occupied home, and cannot fight the efforts of Law Enforcement Officers. Let’s not forget about the victims of these crimes and how terrifying it must have been for them.

In short, don’t fight with the police.
