A man from Pakistan poisoned his wife to death with the help of his own mother because the wife did not allow him to marry another woman.

According to official Pakistani news agencies, the incident happened in the Chiniot area of Pakistan on August 31, 2020.

The incident happened in the suburban area of Kot Ismail in the province of Punjab. A FIR (First Information Report) for the incident has been registered at the Lalian Police Station on the basis of Nawazish, the uncle of the victim.

The main accused has been identified as Mohsin Hayat.

Nawazish told the police that Mohsin made his wife drink poison-laced water with the help of his mother and an unknown accomplice.

It is believed that the heartless husband wanted to kill his wife so he could marry a woman.

Hayat Married Aniqa, the victim, 8 years ago.

The couple has 2 daughters and 1 son.

The mother wanted him to marry for the second time and it was often a cause of heated discussion in their house.

Investigations also revealed that the family was abusing the victim verbally and physically.
