Carry On Jatta 2 became the highest grossing film of all time in Punjabi film industry. Released on 1st June, Carry On Jatta came back with a sequel after five years, and it is a very long time. Smeep Kang who directed the previous installment of Carry On Jatta series also directed this movie as well.

 

 

There are so many positive reviews about this sequel, and people are also saying that they have never seen a sequel as good as this. Whenever a sequel released the movie lacks the storyline or something, but this movie is well crafted and was only for an audience who want to spend their two hours in the theater just laughing. Yes, this film doesn’t have any severe storyline or concept as it is just another Punjabi comedy film.

 

Smeep Kang brings up the original male cast Gippy Grewal, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Binu Dhillon, Jaswinder Bhalla, B.N. Sharma and Karamjit Anmol for this project. They all proved that they could make anybody laugh with this great film.

 

Carry On Jatta 2 on its first day made a collection of Rs. 2.32 Crore and in its first week it earned Rs. 15.91 Crore which makes it a highest grossing film of the all-time of Punjabi film industry. The budget of the film was around Rs. 12 crores.

 

 

Carry On Jatta 2 got IMDB rating of 7.9 out of 10 which is less than original one as it got an IMDB rating of 8.3/10. The sequel of the 2012 blockbuster film is also excellent, Punjabi cinema is evolving day by day and also improving its position in all over the world.

 

We have got a good movie from Punjabi cinema this year like Sajjan Singh Rangroot which was a good movie and also had a great storyline with fabulous direction. Punjabi film mostly screened in north India and this is also the reason of its less collection.

 

 

If you are the person who wants to enjoy a film and laugh for an entire 2 hours than this movie is for you, it doesn’t have any severe storyline. It is a prediction that it can cross Rs. 25 crore collection in its second week.
