The most awaited movie of Power star Pawan Kalyan, Katamarayudu is released worldwide today. Katamarayudu is a remake of Tamil film “Veeram”. ‘Katamarayudu’ is directed by ‘Gopala Gopala’ fame Dolly and Shruti Haasan is the female lead. Music is composed by Anup Rubens, Prasad Murella is handling the Cinematography and Gautham Raju is the editor of the film.

Katamarayudu Movie Story:

Katamarayudu is mass entertainer run on village backdrop. The story revolves around the Pawan Kalyan who stands up for the people he cares by putting his life on the line. He has raised his brothers (Ajay, Siva Balaji, Kamal Kamaraju and Chaitanya Krishna) singlehandedly. He is loved and respected by his brothers.

Seeing him unmarried is brothers make a big plan and try to match Shruthi Hassan for him. But Shruti Haasan reveals that she doesn’t like violent guys. So the brothers make up a scene and make Shruti believe that Pawan is a soft guy. But things take a twist as Shruti finds Pawan is not a soft type. How Pawan impresses their family and what are the new twist in the story must be seen on the silver screen.

Katamarayudu Movie Review:

Katamarayudu is full on commercial entertainer which will be plenty for Pawan Kalyan fans and the family audience. Pawan Kalyan has punch dialogues, high-octane action sequences, and all the right dance moves. Pawan Kalyan looks stunning in the get-up of a villager and he has delivered a wonderful performance, which is the highlight of Katamarayudu. Shruti Haasan’s glamor and chemistry with the power star is another big attraction of the movie.

Folk dance is common in any movie of Pawan Kalyan and it will be the best. The same happened here as well. Fight scenes give excitement to all Pawan’s fans which look brilliant. The entry fight and title song remain the best in the first half. The white and white colored dress with an action scene mesmerizes the audience and all Pawan Kalyan’s fans. The only disappoint thing for fans is production values and VFX. One gets a sense that the production house just rode on the craze of power star. All the songs were shot cheaply and you don’t see the grandeur look as associated with big budget movies. VFX used in the background are clearly recognizable at places and are bad.

Both the action and drama appear lengthy and tedious. They have been neatly done and shot, but the freshness is missing.  The cinematography is solid, and editing is sharp. Dialogues are good throughout without too much rhyming. It’s the same routine story in the second half as other movies. But the director’s efforts are appreciable. Climax heavy duty fight sequence. Pawan saves the family and his brothers. And we have a happy ending.
