Shatamanam Bhavati Movie Story:

The movie is set in the backdrop of a small village called Atreyapuram. Raju garu(Prakash Raj) lives a peaceful life along with his wife(Jayasudha) and grandson Raju(Sharwanand). The only thing which bothers him is the fact that his sons and daughter, who live abroad hardly visit him.

He calls back his entire family during the Sankranthi festival. The twist in the tale arises when Raju garu’s wife finds out about her husband’s plan and gets upset big time. This is also the time when small disturbances creep in within the family and create a tense situation. With their children and their families visiting India, it has all the settings of a family festival. But is this is to be just another memory to be cherished? Will the families come to understand the parent’s love and significance? The magic of family bonding and their relationships should be watched on silver screen.

Shatamanam Bhavati Movie Review:

Shatamanam Bhavati is a classic example of author backed script. It presents you with beautiful countryside visuals of Godavari district and then leads you into a nostalgic journey back to childhood. Sharwa and Anupama have delivered good performance and the chemistry between the two is the highlight of the film. Jayasudha and Prakash Raj have also done justice to their roles and are assets to the movie. Mickey J Meyer’s soulful songs and background score, Sameer Reddy’s picturization are the attractions on the technical front.

Naresh gets yet another interesting role and is impressive in his character. Naresh as Kangarraju generates some humor. Yesteryear heroine Indraja, who made a comeback as Anupama’s mother, may get more offers after this film. Sijju, Raja Ravindra, comedian Satish and all other character artists are adequate.

The family drama looks quite natural and every character is designed as one amongst us. The climax is also a good asset to the film. The pace of the film gets bogged down slightly during the second half and things start getting a tad boring with routine scenes. Sameer Reddy’s cinematography is at its best. It underlines once again to the audience, NRIs more specifically, the importance of visiting parents as often as possible.
