MS Dhoni – The Untold Story, a film based on the life of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni collected more than 100 crores. The film is directed by Neeraj Pandey and is produced by Fox Star Studios and Arun Pandey of Inspired Entertainment.

Right from the day of release, there are many controversies surrounding MS Dhoni’s biopic about the characters of his brother and Co-players. The film surprised everyone with its collections as well. Here is te latest controversy where one of the cricketers is unhappy with his Portrayal in ‘MS Dhoni- The Untold Story’.

The movie has seen a number of cricketers mentioned which has inspired the people who watched the film. However, Dinesh Karthik has expressed his surprise over his portrayal in the movie as he was mentioned in a scene in which selection panel discusses his name with Sourav Ganguly.

A particular scene in the ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ showed selectors discussions on the playing squad for the cricket team of India for the trip to Bangladesh ODI. It was shown that during the final call between Dinesh Kartik and MS Dhoni, the then captain Saurav Ganguly voted for Mahi. Dinesh Karthik denies his reaction as shown in the movie when he was not selected and says that was not what happened.

He admitted that he has never cribbed about not being picked in the team. As per reports, Dinesh Karthik said,

I watched it (M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story). I was surprised actually, that there was a scene involving me. But I never sort of felt Dhoni was selected ahead of me. I never crib about things. I have never asked any selector why I wasn’t picked. I always believed that if you have the skill, then you will find a way to get an opportunity.

It is a fact that the makers of the movie made the right choice by not mentioning the 3 names of cricketers Sushant Singh Rajput (DHONI) asked the selectors to drop from the squad in order to avoid any sort of controversy.

On the other hand, Dinesh Karthik has made the debut to India Before Dhoni and has represented the country in 23 Tests, 71 ODIs, and nine T20Is.

MS Dhoni biopic has become the second biggest opener of the year only next to Salman Khan starrer- Sultan.
