Mohammad Kaif Won Millions Of Hearts With This Strong Message For The Ones Who Fight For Religion

Moral policing, sexism and religious intolerance are very common in our society, and this is even more on social media. Yes, whenever we browse some site or read the newspaper, there will always be some news of people fighting over religion. One hot topic of discussion is that of “Purdah of Muslim women”.

Recently, Cricketer Mohammed Shami became the victim of religious extremism after he posted a picture of him with his wife on Facebook. The comments that his post garnered since then, are tasteless, to say the least.

Users slammed him and questioned him whether he is actually a Muslim. In few tweets, people taught him some lessons that every Muslim has to follow.

And though many joined into troll Shami over the issue, some quickly came to his defense. The most notable of the lot was Mohammad Kaif (also a Muslim), who tweeted that the comments were ‘really really Shameful’ and that he will ‘support Mohammed Shami fully’.

This is not the first time something like this has happened. Earlier, tennis star Sania Mirza had faced attacks over her religion. Even a fatwa was issued against her to stop wearing ‘indecent’ clothes and instead be covered from head-to-toe while playing.

In such a scenario, cricketer Mohammed Kaif, who has been quite active on Twitter, shared a strong message for the ones who fight for the religion and that has won millions of hearts.

Mohammad Kaif’s strong message for the ones who fight for religion:

This polite request by the cricketer isn’t anything that one might find difficult to do and it’s probably the least we, as citizens of the country, can collectively decide to do. Many came forth and applauded this gesture by Kaif, adding their own heartwarming messages to his great statement.
