The legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s biopic “Sachin: A Billion Dreams” is all set to hit the theaters soon. As Sachin Tendulkar is treated as the ‘God Of Cricket’, people especially his fans are eagerly waiting for the film to release. The movie is going to see few glimpses acted by the cricketer himself.
There was an unparalleled excitement among the audience when the little master used to come on the field and now fans can’t wait to watch his biopic. There is no doubt that ‘Sachin… Sachin…’ is one chant which every cricket lover in India must have resonated with when the Master Blaster took the pitch to showcase his class performance.
Recently, we had seen the filmmakers had released one of the songs from the movie ‘Sachin Sachin’ and the song got a quite good response from the cricket fraternity and also the movie lovers.
In a recent interview to a leading daily, Sachin revealed that at first, he was not ready to act in the movie.
“My initial reaction was no. I said I can’t act, I don’t want to act; I am a sportsperson, not an actor. So, it took them a while to convince me and to let me know I have to act. Because everything in my life has been documented, there are no made-up stories, there is no way to rewrite a script to show I have made extra runs. The makers felt no one knows what went on in my mind during the highs and lows of my career. So, we needed to show that to as many people as possible,” reveals Sachin.
When Sachin was asked about which actor according to him would have pulled off his role, the cricketer in return asked the same to the reporter as to who’s name comes first in her mind.
After the reported said Aamir Khan, Sachin said,
“Well, whenever I have asked journalists this, they have all named Aamir because there is direct connect. Aamir has done ‘Lagaan’ (2001 film on a do-or-die cricket match). He’s a great actor and a wonderful person.”
Sachin Tendulkar is currently busy with the promotions of the same. ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ is all set to hit the theaters on May 26, so go and get your tickets soon.
Quite obviously, “Sachin: A Million Dreams” represents the journey of Master Blaster from a common boy to the world’s best batsman and the cricket and personal life of him. Even though Aamir won’t be playing the character of Sachin in the flick, he would have definitely done it to the perfection if he had been offered the role. Isn’t it?
