Rare Picture Shows Sea Lion Trapped In The Mouth Of A Humpback Whale
A poor sea lion found itself in the wrong place when a photographer was trying to take pictures of a Humpback Whale in California.
Chase Dekker, the man who took the extremely rare picture, has been a wildlife photographer for almost a decade.
Chase said that he had never captured a shot like this ever.
Chase added that he was on a routine whale-watching boat trip last week in Monterey Bay in California when he saw a sea lion stuck on the nose of a whale.
Immediately Chase brought out his camera and started to take images of the rare event.
He said, “I didn’t even look at my camera. I just leaped up and was screaming to everyone aboard.”
As a result, Dekker managed to capture something that most wildlife photographers don’t get to see or capture every day.
Dekker captured a rare image that shows a sea lion falling into the mouth of a Humpback Whale.
In case you guys are wondering if the sea lion managed to escape, yes he did and he survived from getting eaten by a huge whale.
During an interview with National Geographic, Chase said, “As soon as I saw this photograph, I knew it may be one of the rarest shots I’ve ever taken,”
Dekker added, “Not the most beautiful, not the most artistic, but probably something I would never see again.”
