Kentucky Town Elects French Bulldog Named Wilbur As Their New Mayor
The United States of America is currently waiting for the results of these 2020 elections to know their new president, but it looks like this is not the case in a town.
A small town in Kentucky has elected a new mayor for their small place, and this pal walks on 4 legs.
Rabbit Hash, an unincorporated community that residents along the Ohio River, elected Wilbur Beast, a French bulldog, as its new mayor.
The town made the announcement on Tuesday in a post through Facebook.
The post was made by the Rabbit Hash Historical Society, and they said in the post:
Mayoral election in Rabbit Hash has been called! Wilbur Beast is the new mayor with an amazing 13,143 votes (highest winning total ever) toward an election total of 22,985!!! (Also the highest total ever for a Rabbit Hash election).
Well, I want to live in this town and be peacefully residing amongst the good doggo mayor.
If you think it was an easy fight for this dog, you’re wrong.
Mayor Beast beat a beagle named Jack Rabbit and Poppy, a golden retriever, by getting over 10,000 votes.
That’s it, I’m done!
Rabbit Hash, the town, said that they have chosen canines for mayors since the late 1990s.
The election is a fundraiser for the historical society, they are known to charge $1 to cast a vote.
No matter they charge more, I would like to live in this town and let a dog decide the overall good things in my life.
