GATE 2018 Mech Answer Key Cutoff Marks:

GATE exam is conducted every year as a gateway to postgraduate courses at the Master’s and Doctoral level across the country. The score is also used by some Public and Private Sector Undertakings for employment processes. Direct recruitment to Group A level posts i.e., Senior Field Office (SFO Tele), Senior Research Officer (SRO) (Crypto) and SRO(S&T) in Cabinet Secretariat is now being done on the basis of GATE scores. It primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science.

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) jointly administer the conduct of GATE. The operations related to GATE in each of the 8 zones are managed by a zonal GATE Office at the IITs or IISc. The Organizing Institute (OI) is responsible for the end-to-end process and coordination amongst the administering Institutes. The Organizing Institute for GATE 2018 is Indian Institute of Science. This year it has released the notification and the candidates who had appeared for the GATE ME 2018 can check answer keys from the official website.

GATE 2018 ME Cutoff Marks:

The cut-off marks for both the papers will depend on the number of applicants, difficulty levels of the GATE exam. Candidates appeared for 2018 GATE Exam must check and analyze the cutoff marks of the previous year so that they can estimate their year cutoff marks. Aspirants can check the previous year cut-off marks from the direct link provided below. The cutoff marks are the minimum marks in order to qualify in the GATE ME 2018.

The number of applicants for the GATE 2018 Mechanical Engineering is increasing every year as there is the number of opportunities through GATE. The cutoff mark for last year is 25 for general category and 17.16 for SC/ST. However, the cutoff marks vary every year.
