In a very rare case, a 12-year-old girl died and reportedly came back to life after contracting the novel coronavirus.

Juliet Daly, the 12-year-old girl, did not have the usual coronavirus symptoms, but instead, she had signs that were similar to someone having appendicitis or stomach problems.

Jennifer Daly, the mother of the 12-year-old girl, said that her daughter had stomach pain and vomiting, which made her believe that she had a stomach problem.

However, she got concerned when the lips of Juliet started to become blue and her limbs became cold.

The mother, who is a radiologist, rushed her daughter to a local hospital, where she suffered a heart attack.

The family was flown to the Ochsner Medical Center, where the mother got tearful.

Jennifer, who lives in New Orleans, USA, thought about the future of her daughter and how she had so much ahead of her.

Jennifer said:

I was imagining everything, trying to imagine what life would be like with only my other two children. What would I have to tell people when they ask how many children do you have? Do you say you have three children but you lost one? Or do you just say you have two? I was thinking about how my husband wouldn’t get a chance to walk her down the aisle.

She added:

I was thinking how she wouldn’t have the chance to fall in love or get married, or have kids, or experience all the wonderful things in life. I was thinking I’m 44, I’ve done those things, I’ve lived a full life – God just take me instead, I need her to live.

Once the little girl got to the hospital, the doctors found out that she had multi-system organ failure.

Doctors revealed that the top chamber of her heart was not working in line with the bottom chamber of her heart.

Dr. Jake Kleinmahon, one of the doctors that were taking care of her, said that children have different coronavirus symptoms with adults.

Little Juliet was placed on a ventilator for 4 days and was discharged on April 15, 2020.

She is expected to have a totally normal life.

Talking about what Jennifer remembers, the 12-year-old girl said:

All she remembers is daddy telling her she’s going to go to sleep. ‘They’re going to put a tube down your throat. You’re gonna go on a helicopter ride. You’re gonna wake up in a new hospital and mommy will be there.

Juliet says the does not remember being on the ventilator.

The good thing is that the 12-year-old girl is fine and will live a normal life.
