Texas Millennial Dies After Attending Coronavirus Party Thinking The Virus Was Just A Hoax

A man from Texas, USA, who is in their 30s, died after attending a coronavirus party and contracting the deadly disease.

The patient, who was in their 30s, told the nurse: “I thought it was a hoax” before passing away from the deadly disease.

Chief Medical Officer of Methodist Healthcare in San Antonio Dr. Jane Appleby said:

This is a party held by somebody diagnosed by the COVID virus and the thought is to see if the virus is real and to see if anyone gets infected.

Coronavirus parties are being held by young people to intentionally get sick and produce antibodies.

At first, it was believed that the coronavirus only caused death in older people and people that had underlying health issues.

However, more deaths are being reported in young people now.

Dr. Jane Appleby said:

Just before the patient died, they looked at their nurse and said ‘I think I made a mistake, I thought this was a hoax, but it’s not.’

There has been a huge spike in the coronavirus cases in Texas and San Antonio.

It is reported that around 18,000 cases and over 1,200 patients are currently in the hospital.

Dr. Appleby added:

It doesn’t discriminate and none of us are invincible. I don’t want to be an alarmist, and we’re just trying to share some real-world examples to help our community realize that this virus is very serious and can spread easily.

The United States of America has 3,413,995 confirmed cases of the coronavirus with 137,782 deaths reported in total.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim, may his soul rest in peace.
