US Woman Arrested For Licking Hands, Coughing, And Touching Grocery Items At A Supermarket

A 38-year-old woman from South Carolina was arrested by the police for licking her hands and touching food and fixtures at a grocery store days after doing the same thing at a sandwich shop.

Shenir Gibson Holliday, the woman, was arrested by the police on Saturday after the police got a call from an IGA Supermarket employee in Sumter, South Carolina.

Surveillance footage caught her licking her hands and coughing before touching freezer doors and a number of products.

Holliday, who lives in Sumter, South Carolina, was also seen licking her hands and touching items in another section of the supermarket.

The police said that Holliday was also involved in a similar act last week where she used the same hand-licking method at a sandwich shop last week.

A manager at Sub Station II told police that Holliday was caught on video there licking her fingers before paying a clerk at the eatery.

The woman also spread her saliva on a debit card machine and even licked a number of quarters before dropping them into a jar that was meant for tips.

The woman is facing charges of aggravated breach of peace and food tampering.

The police also issued a citation for violating the home or work order of the state and has been ordered by a judge to be tested for the coronavirus.

Holliday is currently in jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.

If she gets convicted of food tampering, Holliday could spend nearly 20 years in jail.

Not only that, if she gets convicted of aggravated breach of peace, she will be getting 10 years in jail.
