Avengers: Endgame Is Now The Highest-Grossing Movie Of All-Time, Dethrones Avatar

The decade long run of Avatar has ended, and there is a new player in town, and that new player is Avengers: Endgame.

The Avengers: Endgame, of Marvel Studios and Disney, has officially passed the Avatar as the top-grossing movie of all time at the worldwide box office collection.

Since 2009, Avatar had been the highest-grossing movie all-time and was the first movie ever to make $2 Billion USD at the global box office collection.

Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel, has confirmed the news.

Alan Horn, the Chief Creative Officer, released a statement, he said, “A huge congratulations to the Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios teams, and thank you to the fans around the world who lifted Avengers: Endgame to these historic heights.”

By July 19, 2019, the Avengers: Endgame earned $2,789.2 Billion USD and was behind Avatar by just $500,000.

And finally, after all the wait, the movie dethroned Avatar and is now the Highest-Grossing Movie Of All-Time.

Alan Horn also talked about Avatar.

He added, “Of course, even with the passage of a decade, the impact of James Cameron’s Avatar remains as powerful as ever, and the astonishing achievements of both of these films are ongoing proof of the power of movies to move people and bring them together in a shared experience. The talented filmmakers behind these worlds have much more in store, and we look forward to the future of both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Pandora.”

This is not the only record the Avengers: Endgame has shattered since it hit the cinemas around the world earlier this year.

The movie is also the biggest opening movie of all time after it earned $1.22 billion globally.

In order to break the record of Avatar, the movie was released for the second time on June 28.

The re-released version of the movie had deleted scenes in it and a new introduction.

Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Brie Larson, Paul Rudd, Josh Brolin, and many more.
