Bahubali Opening First Day Collections:
Within 24 hours of release, SS Rajamouli’s “Baahubali” (‘Bahubali’) is breaking box office collection records of Indian films. The latest box office report for the movie from the US suggests that the film has collected over $1 million on its opening day and the initial official reports say the collection stood at $1,010,550 from 118 screens, beating that of Aamir Khan’s “PK” and Kangana Ranaut’s “Tanu Weds Manu Returns”.
According to sources, the movie has already collected Rs 50 crores from morning and noon shows, while in Karnataka the prediction report reads Rs 10 crores.
As we know PK broke the records by collecting $967,152 while “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” collected $250,000 on the opening day in the US.
Bahubali Movie Box Office Records in Distribution
The magnum opus movie directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by the by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, the film is simultaneously being made in Telugu and Tamil languages and was dubbed in Hindi and Malayalam languages. “Bahubali -The Beginning” first part rights were sold to a prominent distributor for ₹23 crore (US$3.7 million) for the Karnataka and Ceded (Rayalaseema) region where the Ceded region which includes Kadapa, Kurnool, Anantapur, Chittoor and Bellary areas brought in ₹14 crore (US$2.2 million).
“Bahubali -The Beginning” first part movie Nizam distribution rights were sold to renowned Tollywood producer Dil Raju for an amount of ₹25 crore (US$4.0 million) while he claims that he would be purchasing the movie second part too for the Nizam area. Overseas theatrical distribution rights were sold to BlueSky Cinemas, Inc.
MAA TV purchased the satellite rights of Bahubali at a record price in Telugu movie satellite right for 25 crores for both parts.
The movie collected over Rs. 66 Crore on the first day of its release all over the world.
