No More Iron Man: Robert Downey Jr. Confirms That He Is Done With The MCU

Robert Downey Jr, the actor that plays Iron Man, has confirmed that he will not return to the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).

During the SmartLess podcast, he was asked about his plans with the MCU, this is where he shattered the hearts of millions of people.

He announced that he was finished with Tony Stark and Iron Man.

The problem with this one is that he did not say this earlier this year.

During an interview with Extra TV in January, he said that anything could happen.

Along with Susan, his wife, RDJ said:

Yeah, anything could happen.

But that was just the headline of the story.

He also added:

As far as I’m concerned, I hung up my guns and I’m good to let it go. I also think Marvel is on this journey now and they’re trying a bunch of other stuff, and I’m excited for them to see how all that goes. It’s hard to project.

The good thing is that nothing is official right now, especially considering the fact that Tony Stark, the character RDJ plays in the MCU, will be making a cameo in the upcoming Black Widow movie.

It was reported last year that that Robert Downey Jr. would be seen in the role of Tony Stark one more time in Black Widow, which was supposed to release this year in May.
