Kevin Feige, the president of the Marvel Studios, announced what many were waiting to be confirmed, the sequel to the Black Panther movie.
Kevin Feige announced the release date of Black Panther 2 for May 6, 2022 during the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California earlier this week.
Ryan Coogler, the writer and the director of Black Panther, joined Feige on the stage. Feige confirmed Coogler is going to be the director and the writer of the sequel.
During the expo, Coogler said Marvel is really working hard to give its fans something special.
We know 2022 is still around 3 years away, but Coogler said Marvel wants to take time as they want the movie to be right.
After the success of Black Panther, Coogler was confirmed for its sequel.
Black Panther was released in February 2018, and it was a massive hit on the international box office collection. The move gathered over 1.3 Billion USD.
Black Panther (2018) also won 3 Academy Awards.
